Researching new technologies is extremely important as new and better technologies increase your capacity to build better ships and buildings. New technologies also influence ship’s speed, weapon power, armour and shield. With better technologies you get more economic buildings and thus more credits.

Description:
Technology that allows the player to research and explore many forms of energy. Essential for increasing output efficiency of every available power plant. There is no limit in how high you have to research it, as high as possible is better. At least up to level 24 is needed to correctly use this type of research. How does it work? Each level you research gives you boost in energy output of every power plant. Example: You researched Energy technology up to level 10. Basic Solar plant on your planet gives you 4 energy. Your level 10 research says that your power plant is at 150% efficiency, meaning that your solar plant now gives you 6 energy. And that is happening to each power plant whatever the type and on each planet, moon or asteroid you have. Because higher levels of power plant are extremely expensive and you really need more power, it is recommendable to research Energy as high as possible to get more energy from low level power plants.
It will be more important when you reach disruptor turrets and higher defense structures. |

Description: Computer technology involves expanding and improving existing computer capacities and finding new sorts of computing resources. Development of this technology causes more powerful and efficient computer systems being available. The computing power continually increases and the speed at which computer processes run is also increased. More fleets can be commanded simultaneously with increasing computer capacities as each level of computer technology increases the maximum number of fleets by one. The more fleets you can send at one time, the more you can raid and the more resources you can capture. Of course, this technology is also useful for spies, who can also send out more scouts at the same time investigating everything about their enemies. Besides increasing number of available fleets it also allows you to recruit one more commander for each level of computer technology. For this reason, computer technology should be continuously developed throughout the game. |

Description: Armour Technology is an essential part of building your ships. With researching this technology you find new ways to create harder and denser alloys from metal, carbon-based structures or combining molecular bonding with artificial force fields and thus creating naturally impossible molecular structures. Every time you upgrade your Armour Technology, you add 5% of the base strength to the hull plating of your fleet. Even without further explanation this sound extremely important to research as it increases the ability of your ships to sustain and withstand more damage caused by enemy’s ships and defense structures. |
